whowhoweareare we?

Youth Aflame is a ministry of Faith Alive Christian Center, a
non-denominational church located in Reno, NV. We have a vision to reach out to the youth in our area, to impact them with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to impart to them the fullness that comes with a sold out lifestyle to Him.

 
Generation (X) & The Bridger's  ???
Generations of young people in our country have been labeled Generation X, (those born between 1961-1982), and the current youth ministry emphasis, the Bridger Generation, or "Generation Y", or the "Millennial Generation". This term was given to X'ers because of their "lack of direction", and having "no identity", a non-caring, slacking bunch of losers. Bridger's are called so because they are the "bridge" to the 21st century(72 million strong!) Every generation of young people seem to have some sort of label placed on them. We know that God doesn't see them this way, that He has a plan, purpose and destiny for all of them. We feel it is our responsibility as the Body of Christ to lead them towards the plan that God has for their life, first and foremost in evangelism, and to instruct them in all things
pertaining to life and Godliness.

the future?

This generation is the NOW, not the future, and we refuse to allow ourselves to be corrupted by the world view of so called "experts" but choose to listen to the One True Expert on the subject, and that is Jesus Christ. Join us as we press in to the calling that God has for all of us, and that is to serve and love Him. Come with us as we seek the fire of God in our lives,
to be refined and transformed, to set the
standard for generations to come.
