Thank
you for taking the time to read a little more about us!
Although
we may be able to give you a little insight on this page
as to who we are as a ministry, the best way to get to
know us is to visit a "live service". We really believe
that people will know that they are "home" in a church
when they find the right one;
that God will speak to you about where you should be, so
you can be
"sharp enough to stick in the ground and green enough to
grow".
As with
describing a person, it's not easy to nail us down to one
certain attribute, so we'll do the best we can to give
you a little glimpse into we are as a church.
FACC is a family church, with a mission to build and
strengthen the entire family, from birth to going home
to be with Jesus
We believe in developing people to face life's
challenges, and to help people be strong believers in a
day and age where so much truth is watered down. We do
this through our regular services as well as strong
children's and youth ministry, men's and women's
ministry, and discipleship programs to help believers to
mature in their faith and experience victory in life.
We
are unashamedly "charismatic in expression"
Labels are unfair to ascribe to anyone, and sometimes even
harder to overcome, but the best way to explain it is
this: we believe what the Bible says. We believe
that God never took anything away from us (speaking of
the gifts of the Holy Spirit), except for sickness, sin,
poverty and disease. We make room for the move of the
Holy Spirit in our services through the gifts listed in
1 Corinthians 12, and let God be God in our midst. We
are passionate in worship, and express ourselves in a
way that honors God for who He is, and
what He has done for us.
We
have a strong desire to fulfill the last words of Jesus,
the Great Commission. (Mark 16)
Acts 1:8 tells us
"but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has
come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in
Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the
remotest part of the earth." We believe in starting
locally, in our own communities, by hosting outreaches
in many different forms, such as: Children's
neighborhood outreaches, weekly street teams, citywide
outreaches, billboard and media ministry, and much more. We
also support traveling evangelists as well as missions
in Mexico, the Philippines, and elsewhere. We have
prison outreaches, as well as reaching into our local
Parr
jail. We have a hospital chaplaincy program, and a food
pantry to help those who need something to eat.

To further understand us and our mission, we
invite you to go read our vision statement
here.

Listed
below are the volunteers and staff who help make the
ministry of FACC possible, and also
help make it a great success. I
know, as a pastor, that I cannot fulfill the
vision that God has
given me for our church, city, and world without surrounding
myself with people who love God, and who do great works and
exploits for
His Kingdom. I am truly blessed, I pastor one of the
greatest churches in
the world, with some of the most amazing
leaders! Take a moment to read
about my friends, leaders,
visionaries and mighty men and women of God!

Joey Bock
(& wife Lynette)
Associate Pastor
Pastor Joey truly has a heart for God,
His Word, and His people. This love is reflected in his enthusiasm, integrity
and an uncanny sense of humor towards all that he does. Pastor Joey wears
more hats (literally also!) around here than anyone. He is Pastor Dave's
right hand man, and is, has been involved in, or has developed many of the
areas of ministry here. Our cutting edge, state of the art media department
and sound system are the fruits of Pastor Joey's technological know how. He
truly is a gift to this body.

Aaron Eby
Media Director
Aaron
is a great blessing to FACC...he handles our TV production on Sunday
Mornings, develops and maintains our websites, and is our resident "geek"
(that's a compliment). He is a long-timer at FACC, and has always been very
faithful and loyal in supporting our vision. No, he won't fix your PC. |

Marilyn Eduave
FACC Office Secretary
Always full of joy and ready to serve, Marilyn is an inspiration to
everyone! Everything she does is with excellence, and she is very easy to
work with (not always the greatest attribute of every secretary). Marilyn
has done many of our banquets at FACC as well, and they are always first
class. We couldn't do what we do without her! |
 |
Jeanie Mitchell
Faith Alive Bookstore
Jeanie does a tremendous job organizing our bookstore and is
a joy to be around...she has a true servant's heart, is a "pray-er", and spends many hours
a week volunteering in various areas of ministry. She is truly a blessing,
and very diligent in what she does. As you can see, she always smiles and
has the joy of the Lord! |

Peter Fall
Prison & Jail Ministry
Pete has many years of ministry experience, and
has a big heart for those that are incarcerated. Our current biggest focus
is in the Lovelock, NV Correctional Facility. We are also reaching out to
our local Parr Jail, and in Carson City & Silver Springs in the works for
future outreach. Pete is also involved in the local
Businessmen's Fellowship
Chapter, serving as Vice-President. |

Bob
"Kempmeister" Kemp
Head
Sound Technician
Bob is our technical wiz...the one who everyone stares at when there
is a "squeal", and no one thanks when things are fine (this happens to every sound man, every church, everywhere!). Seriously, he is a very dedicated and loving man who is the "nervous
system" of our music team. Bob always has a smile, and has been known
to supply the music team with Krispy Kreme donuts! |

Jim
Lewis
Dean of Students
(Faith
Alive School of Ministry);
Ministry of Helps Leader; Gathering of the Kings Men's Ministry
Bro. Jim
Lewis has an infectious joy that rubs off on everyone he meets. As Dean of
Students, he is in charge of day to day operations of our School of
Ministry, and our students well-being. The ministries of our church also
run effectively and efficiently with Jim at the helm, and he is a great
blessing to our leaders. The men's ministry has been fed both spiritually
and physically, because Jim is a world class BBQ'er! |
|
Jim Klein
Evangelism, Accounting
Jim is a humble servant who spends time volunteering in many areas of
ministry. He has a heart and passion for the lost, and is diligent in
making sure they are followed up on. Jim is very organized, and helps our
office run smoothly and efficiently. He also does a great job leading and
instructing our altar workers on how to effectively minister to those who
are newly born again or have come back to the Lord. Bro. Jim always has a
great testimony and is a man of faith!

Bob has been with FACC for over
twenty years. There is something to
be said about the faithfulness of long-timers! Bob does his job with
excellence, and leads his team of ushers with honor and integrity. Bob
always has a smile for you, I bet even when he's arresting you (he's a
police officer...just kidding Bob).
Bob & his wife Susan are pillars of
our local church, and are a great blessing to us all! |

Annette Klein
Mid-week Children's Ministry
Annette is a joy to be around! She has worked with children for many years,
teaching Sunday School, Awanas, and everything in between! She started
teaching kids as a teenager, and is still doing a great job of it. She has
the great ability to lead by example, and is not afraid to sing silly (fun!)
songs to kids or adults! (See husband Jim above)

Rose Rivera
Accounting
Office
Grandma...teacher...Miss Rose! Miss Rose Rivera is another "long-timer" at FACC. She serves our church faithfully in the accounting office and does our books with excellence! Miss Rose
is a great woman
of faith, and is an example to her peers. Rose lives up to her name...she is
a precious flower, and we couldn't do what we do without her. We love you
Miss Rose! (Miss Rose also graduated in the FASOM class of 2008)

anointed and very talented musician, who plays many different instruments.
With many years playing professionally, he definitely mixes anointing with

Steve & Claire Schauer
Hebrews Cafe, Healing School
Steve & Claire Schauer are our resident adventures. They both recently
conquered the John Muir trail (hiking), and use the same spirit and
determination in leading two very important areas of ministry; our Coffee
Shop (because of the visitors, not the coffee...although that is important),
and Healing School. Come and join us in Healing School to get your faith
energized, and to hear what the Word says about healing for today. If you
are dealing with any sickness, or know someone who is, this is the place to
be! Visit their John Muir Trail Site:

Adam & Christina are young and energetic, and love Jesus passionately. They
both love our youth, and are very excited to lead them into God's best for
their life. The youth ministry in any church is definitely the life of it,
and they are a big part of the excitement in what God is doing in our youth!
Adam leads worship on Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, and also at our Friday Night
Retrofire service. He is a great musician and a very talented singer as
well. |
